Ameh Godwin, a friend of the deceased, confirmed the unfortunate incident in a Facebook tribute.

He wrote,

Ogbee! This sounds unbelievable and heartbreaking. You made us proud by graduating with top notch after writing UTME (JAMB) six instances, today, you may have been snatched by the chilly palms of dying in a mysterious means.

How do I clarify this to these who celebrated your educational feat with me Just three weeks after your NYSC, you went the way in which of all mortals.

We spoke few days in the past and also you promised you had been going to be tremendous. What occurred? Is this the ‘fine’ you assured me?

This is gloomy. Simon Godwin Idoko, please inform my brother, Prince Ameh Jerry, that; that is what the world has been lowered to.

Tell him the fences he left behind have fallen and strangers now pull down our beards. Tell him we now swim in tears and pains.

Tell him our arms have damaged and termites have destroyed our houses. What a depraved world.
