Bandits Slain Three, Kidnap Seven Others In Kaduna

Some unknown gunmen suspected to be bandits on Tuesday killed three people in Birnin Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

Residents who are privy to the development said two individuals were slain when assailants attacked a village near Anguwar Tanko Dogon Sarki settlement in Kakangi constituency, Birnin Gwari LGA at about 9:00 a.m.

According to the reports, bandits also raided Rafin Gora hamlet, two kilometres from the Dogon Dawa section of the constituency, at about 7:00 p.m. on the same day, killing one villager and kidnapping seven others.

A member of the Birnin Gwari Progressive Emirates Union, who asked to remain anonymous, corroborated the Anguwar Tanko Dogon Sarki incident.

He further stated that on the same day, bandits abducted some villagers from Tashar Keji village in the Kakangi constituency of the Birnin Gwari Local Government Area of the State.

Yahaya Musa Dan Salio, a State Assembly member for Kakangi Ward, confirmed the event in Rafin Gora village but stated that he had yet to get full details of the other incidents.

Meanwhile, ASP Mansur Hassan, the state police command’s Public Relations Officer, could not be reached at the time of filing this report; calls to him went unanswered.
