The Nigerian government has announced five hundred and seventy six (576) new cases of Corronavirus infections in the Country.

This was announced by the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) via a statement released on its official Twitter account Saturday evening.

It also disclosed that eight COVID-19 deaths were recorded.

According to the statement, Lagos State recorded 277 new COVID-19 cases, followed by FCT with 90 new cases and Oyo State with 51 new cases of Corronavirus infections.

Rivers, Jigawa, Osun, and Ogun are States that recorded less than 10 new infections in the last 24 hours.

The statement also revealed that total confirmed cases of COVID-19 infections in Nigeria is now 89,163. Out-of these cases, 74,789 patients have been treated and discharged from Isolation centres while 1,302 deaths have been recorded.
