Ikechukwu Kennedy, the first son of his parents and a young clearing agent from Imo state woke up this morning to go out to put food on his and his family’s table, little did he know that his source of income will bring about his death today. He just got killed about two hours ago by heavy duty lifting equipment at the Joetlin terminal of the Kirikiri Lighter Terminal Command of the Nigeria Customs Service.

He was directing the movement of the container to be dropped for examination by the Customs when he was sandwiched between the two containers and he died rather instantly with part of his body mangled.
He was a member of the Association of Nigeria Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA) KLT chapter and members have already mobilised and taken his remains to the Naval mortuary at Boundary, Ajegunle.
A call to the terminal manager of Joetlin terminal confirm the incident, but he declined to give more information as he said that he is busy somewhere
