The officials of the Neighbourhood Watch in Afikpo Local Government Area of Ebonyi State on Thursday arrested four criminals who are suspected specialists in stealing transformers and electricity wires around the country.
The suspects, who are from the South-South region of the country were arrested on their way to steal a transformer in Akpoha, Afikpo Local Government Area and transport by members of the Neighborhood Watch.
New Telegraph learnt that they came accompanied with Akpoha native who is presently on the run.
The Commander of the Neighbourhood Watch, Michael Urom, who apprehended the suspects with his team, urged the public to report any suspicious persons or movements to security services so that action could be taken quickly.
He further confirmed that the accused had been turned over the police for more investigation.
