UNLAWFUL DETENTION OF Chief Sunday Igboho by Government of Rep of Benin Chief Sunday Adeyemo aka Sunday Igboho a Yoruba self-determination activists
The Department of State Service, DSS, operatives carried out a bloody midnight raid on his residence in Soka area of Ibadan, in Oyo State on the 01/07/2021, killed unarmed two members of his family while, they arrested 12 of his family members damaged his cars and properties. Igboho is not facing any criminal charge in Nigeria, at the time of writing this petition.
Sunday Igboho is not a fugitive from justice. Article 12(4) of the African Charter on Human and Peoples Rights. Igboho” was declared wanted by Nigeria’s Department of State Services (DSS), after his house was attack Sunday Igboho left Nigeria when the Nigeria government can not guarantee his safety.
He and his wife’s was arrested at Cotonou Airport and detained in Benin Republic his wife was later released, Mrs Ropo Adeyemo Igboho is a German citizen, while “Sunday Igboho” holds a German residency.
The Nigerian authority will act responsibly and judiciously. For now, it’s Nigeria that is on trial, Benin Republic. Sunday did not commit any offence in Rep of Benin and he still been detained in Cotonou prison up till the time of this petition.
Justice Ladiran Akintola Oyo state High court declared that Chief Sunday house raid illegal and awarded him N20 billion justice Akintola described it as arbitrary and prejudice against Sunday Adeyemo.
Information indicated that Nigeria government ordered Rep of Benin to keep him till 2023 reasons best known to them.
