Benue state government set to support fallen security operatives families with over N60 million*

The Governor of Benue state Samuel Ortom, has announced that Benue state government will give financial support to families of security personnels who were killed in their line of duty while defending the state from 2017 to date.

He said this on Sunday, January 9th, 2022 during an interdenominational thanksgiving service to mark the 2022 Armed Forces Remembrance Day organised by Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, in conjunction with Benue State Government.

It is worthy to note that over 120 families will benefit from this support.

The Governor further explained that families of those killed in the line of duty from 2017 till date will be supported with N500,000 each to cushion the effect of the absence of their breadwinners.

He also emphasized on government’s continuous support to all security formations stating that the security agencies Should give thier very best.

He ended by urging citizens of Benue state not to be rude or hostile to security Personnels but rather support them to make it easier for them to discharge thier duty.
