Odumosu retires in style

Assistant Inspector-General (AIG) of Police, Hakeem Odumosu’s retirement might have come as a shock to the public but it seems he had been preparing for the day to take a rest from active police work.

The immediate past Lagos State Commissioner of Police did not bow out without excitement and fanfare. Odumosu was celebrated at a valedictory event held by the Lagos State government.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Oba Gbolahan Lawal of Iru land, former IGP Musiliu Smith, Oba Rilwan Akiolu of Lagos and other top Lagos State officials witnessed the ceremony.

Odumosu recently attained the rank of AIG. He joined the police force on March 3, 1990, and served for 32 years. His retirement paved way for the appointment Abiodun Alabi, who was previously Commissioner of Police of Bauchi State.
