Some Northern leaders led by Popular Islamic scholar, Sheikh Abubakar Gumi, are currently in a closed door meeting with former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, at the Obasanjo Presidential Library, Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.
Source gathered that the meeting was confirmed by Obasanjo’s media aide, Kehinde Akinyemi.
Akinyemi said, “the meeting is still going on and it’s not just between the 2 of them, it’s a stakeholders meeting holding at his residence here in Abeokuta.”
Recall that the prominent religious leader has been holding series of meetings with various stakeholders including bandits as part of efforts to solve the security challenge.
According to reports, the meeting is about the recent happenings of insecurity in the country.
