No fewer than six arrested #EndBadGovernance protesters in Kano State have regain their freedom.

Deji Adeyanju, Abuja-based human rights lawyer and legal representative for the #EndBadGovernance protesters made this known in a statement issued on Thursday.

Speaking on the development, Adeyanju appreciated the NBA’s Citizens’ Liberties Committee chaired by Nuhu Egya for his intervention in securing the freedom of the detained protesters.

According to him, the trial of others has been adjourned to September 23, 2024.

He also noted that Dr Abubakar Alkali, a Baze University lecturer who had been in DSS custody for supporting the protests, was granted bail by the Sokoto State High Court.

“Dr. Alkali, the Baze University lecturer has just been granted bail by Sokoto State High Court. We wish to thank the leadership of the NBA, the Citizens Liberties Committee and our ever hardworking Sokoto Branch of the NBA for the support and intervention in this regard.

“We also thank the media and other critical stakeholders for the role you all played,” he said.
