Three Killed As Soldier Patrol Van Rams Into Tricycle In Yobe

Three people were reportedly killed and others were severely injured after a military patrol truck smashed a tricycle, popularly as Keke Maruwa full of passengers in Yobe State.

The unfortunate incident occurred on Sunday evening in the popular Garin-Alkali community, very close to Gashu’a, the headquarters of Bade Local Government Area of the State.

Sunday Telegraph gathered from eyewitnesses that the Keke riders and members of the general public rushed to the streets to protest the deaths of the tricycle rider and two others, by the  soldiers stationed in the town to provide security.

Ibrahim Babagana, the Caretaker Chairman of Bade Local Government Area, confirmed the occurrence to journalists.

However, as of the time of filing this report, the headquarters of Sector 2 Joint Task Force (JFT), North-East Operation Hadin Kai are yet to issue a statement.
